Does anyone know the location of all the eBay catagory numbers? I know that this has been discussed previously, but I cannot locate the thread and link.

The above is a nice link, but eBay has since changed the names on many of their categories (and added new ones).

Yes, I see now that the categories are greatly expanded. Does anyone have a link or location where the current list with category numbers can be found?

This is the one that I use as it is usually the fastest one in keeping up to date with ll ebay's changes. It takes a second or two to load so be patient.
Hope it helps.

Yes, that is the catagory overview link. However, it doesnt give the category ID numbers that I was looking for.
It used to be that it was a lot easier to just put the category number in when listing. Ebay has now added so many categories that you have to go through 5 drop down menus just to locate the appropriate category.
Thanks to everyone for all your help.

capasto--The numbers next to the category names indicate the number of items in that category. Not the category number. eBay is apparently working on that, but as usual they are behind the times. Guess working on the "checkout" stuff is more important.

Corrdogg, great question! I posted this same question two weeks ago and never got a response from anyone. Trying to find this info has become very frustrating! When going to ebay for the category numbers they now give you category # of items listed in a particular category.
NOTE: Kiara after reviewing your link it is NOT updated! Two of the categories that I sell in postcards townviews is now broken down into individual states, one of the changes ebay made two weeks ago. Also Vintage clothing women has been broken down into era's.
It continues the $64 question is where are ebay's category numbers??? It's more challenging then Where's Waldo!

Thanks for letting me know.
I hadn't used it in a long time and it was the only one I had bookmarked.
I used to use one from ebay but it is gone.

Ok. I have it figured out.
The link that itsmylife gave http://www.kinem.com/files/cat.htm has all the code from the current category listings.
You can either use this, or, if you want to make a list do this:
Open up the link above.
Click on View/Source (it is big, so it will most likely open in WordPad)
This gives all the HTML code, which has all the item numbers in list form.
Now, just go to Edit/Find and locate the item category (such as “postcards”) and all the categories and category numbers will be right there. You can Copy/Paste them and print them out in list form.
Thanks to everyone. I’ll miss y’all!
