...or does everyone have buyers who pay without telling what it is they're buying? This drives me batty! Just got Paypal for who knows what, who knows when? I emailed back politely asking for more details...

It is so much fun to look through the boxes and try to find the dollar amount, or the email address, or anything that will identify the item. Usually through trial and error, I find it, but I only list 5 to 10 things a day. It is difficult, especially if you are a big time seller, good luck, hope they get smarter.

someone posted a while back that they just laid the payment off to the side until the buyer emailed asking where the item was! LOL!

doesn't the paypal notification have the email? should be right behind their name on the paypal notification.

Good luck!!

I track my stuff in excel. I have the filters set up and when all I know is the $ amount I can look at all the open auctions with that amount due. At least it narrows down the search. It is really hard when the add extra pennies to it!

Using excel filters it is also easy to find all items due from a certain email address.

Works great for those unidentified payments!

I find this extraordinarily annoying. Sometimes I have to write them by snail mail, but at least they will eventually get their item

Geez, at least you are getting paid!

Something about November caused 7 of 10 winners to indicate that they sent payment, but didn't for two, three - and in one case - four weeks after the close of the auction.

In each case I asked them, "Why, if you knew at the auction's close, you didn't have the money, didn't you let me know?"

And not a single one of them had an answer...

We could have a separate forum on "Stupid Buyer Tricks" but if we had video, we could be on TV.

The ones I love are when their user ID states the nickname as johndoe.

Then a week later I get a personal check from Jane Smith, with no notation what the money is for. When I have 10 to 15 auctions that all ended for the same amount, it's really hard to figure out that Jane Smith is johndoe. I risk getting negative feedback for slow shipment. But it's all my fault of course for not being able to read minds!
