I received this email from ebay:
Dear eBay Clothing Power Seller ,
We're extending the shopping season on eBay and we want to offer you the opportunity to benefit from increased sales!
Last year at this time, we introduced "Buy-It-Now" and it successfully added several days to the shopping season on eBay. This year by promoting auctions with both "Buy-It-Now" and expedited delivery, we believe we can extend the shopping season even longer!
Here's how it works:
From December 17-20, the eBay homepage will promote Clothing products that are listed as "Buy It Now" items.
What does this mean for you:
- Stock up on "Buy It Now" inventory, especially December 17-20
- Offer expedited shipping options to your buyers in order to maximize holiday sales
- State "I offer express shipping!" clearly in your item description!
Here's how to make it happen:
- RSVP that you are interested by hitting "Reply", and I will email you the special code to include in your listings.
- List 10 day auctions
- List Items with BIN
Good luck and happy holidays!
Regards,
eBay Clothing Team

It sounds to me like they just want 10 more cents out of me! (must be a 10 day auction)
EXPRESS SHIPPING - will create much more work for me. Currently, I ship twice a week.
What do you all think about this?
I can hear it now. - It's the night before Christmas and my package is NOT HERE YET!

Well----What if someone starts your auction with the non BIN price, than woooof the feature is gone, and ebay has made extra money. Use this senario, you save your best items for that week in hoping to sell and nobody bids. I myself wouldn't take the chance. Why are they only giving the option to the clothing sellers. Seems fishy to me.
Bad time a week before christmas, when everyone is busy running around and doesn't have time for eBay.

I dont care how many times a day I have to ship I wish ebay would put the items from the catagory I sell on the frony page.

Well, I personally do not see any advantage to participating in this.
It will cost me more, as I normally run 7 day auctions.
I think if you are not done with your shopping my 12/17 you should be at your local store not shopping on line hoping the post office is going to get your item to you quickly.
Besides, most people that shop ebay, shop for a bargain. Express shipping is NO BARGAIN!
If anyone here participates - I would be interested in know how it turns out for them.
