Has anyone heard if and when ebay is going to offer a free listing day?

It will be on eBay's annoucement board. Don't expect too much advance warning though, maybe a few hours at best.

Check the announcement boards or come here. Very helpful people for the most part.

Based on the timing of free listing days in the last three years, a 7 day auction would end after December 26 but prior to December 31.

As I recall, announcement of free listing day was posted last year in the early evening, on the day prior.

I'm a big shot at eBay and you can rest assured, we're planning to discontinue listing fees altogether beginning Jan. 1 2002. We've found that, while they are good for our bottom line, they are actually a significant hinderance to our seller customers. We believe that this new policy will increase selling activity. Ha ha ha ha.

Are reserve auctions also included in free listing days??

I know that the $1 is probably not, eighter way it is refunded if you sell the item.

What I'm saying is the listing fees
associated with the reserve??

Hope someone posts on this thread if they see something on the announcements about it....I was going to discontinue listing until after Christmas......possibly the after New Years but would reconsider if they offer the free listing day.....

Well, this is the exact reason I came over to AW today, to see if anyone knew when the "FREE" listing day on Ebay was.

I just check the Announcement Board on eBay, and nothing as yet.

Guess I'll just get my auctions ready, and then list when the time comes.

imagecomposer - the reserve fee is not a listing fee, so it isn't a freebie on the free listing day. Only the base listing fee is free on the FLD.

It looks like it's tomorrow, the 20th.
A portion of the announcement from ebay's board:

To thank you for your business on eBay, we are holding a Free Listing Day on Thursday, December 20th, 2001. Free Listing Day will start at 00:00:01 PST on Thursday, December 20th, 2001 and end at 23:59:59 PST on Thursday, December 20th, 2001.
