A few months ago, someone posted some good URLs to purchase unique shipping supplies online.. Specifically, larger size packaging tape, unique labels ("FRAGILE", "SCAN ME" , etc. If anyone could provide those URLS, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Gary

I think you might be better off getting some rubber stamps made up than ordering/buying labels if you do volume. And that's the only way to order supplies -- by volume. Otherwise the shipping costs eat into your savings.

I guess I'm not sure why, if you need unusual labels, you wouldn't just buy a label printer for your PC/Mac and make them yourself.
We have three Dymo LabelWriters (all purchased on eBay). I buy the big rolls of shipping labels, part #30256, 300 2.31 x 4 inch labels in a roll. You shouldn't have to pay more than $6 or $7 a roll buying in quantity on eBay. (Office supply stores? Fuhgedaboutit!)
At pennies per label, it's way cheaper than buying pre-printed labels. Obviously rubber stamps would be even cheaper, if you could get by with those. I like labels, myself.

Last year we bought 15,000 Tyvek envelopes of a certain size that's perfect for us. It was an off-eBay deal made with an eBay seller. So I agree with the earlier poster who said to search for sources that have a presence on eBay.
We all need to be cultivating our sources to make off-eBay deals while we can. Any day now Meg is going to implement an email-masking program so that you will *never* know the email address of your bidders (or they, yours).
Good luck!

I do have some rubber stamps but specifically I am looking for a wide-size wrapping tape to affix the USPS Shipping Label that I print online. Using a 1-sheet label is too expensive/

bettylou- is your source for the email masking solid ?
The reason I ask is because I read an article last week about eBay's CEO Meg, and the article reiterated Wall Street's continuing concern about the "grey market" developing at eBay, i.e., sellers and buyers cutting deals outside eBay.

I quit using shipping labels awhile ago because I print them on my computer on plain white paper. When someone pays me through paypal I make the font as large as I can and then I print the part of the paypal notice that has the person's address on it. The reason the address paypal has is the verified one and I want that one on my package. Sometimes when I type a label I make a mistake and then I have to go back and do it again. I also like to keep expenses down and this is one way to do it. Labels are expensive. I did buy myself a red stamp that says First Class cuz most everything I send out is first class.

reamond: It's merely a guess on my part, but a pretty educated one. It's the next logical move for a relentless company that always has the bottom line squarely in their sights. Personally, I believe it would be stupid (masked users could still exchange info such as phone numbers) and would undoubtedly give rise to classified ad sites where we could search for what we need without ever going to eBay. Like Yahoo, but better.
You won't often go wrong by assuming that eBay will turn the screws tighter.

Libra63: We ship about 50 items a day, which means that payment information gets entered into our FileMaker Pro database and the printed labels generated from that. Sure, there is always the possibility of error. We try to be careful.

When I have a PayPal or Billpoint notice, I just "copy" and "paste" the address into my postage program to print the label. I use Endicia. That helps eliminate my typing and spelling mistakes.
