Anyone know anything about these auctions for information on how to get DVD's for
$2-$7 each? I am sure there is a catch somewhere, but I was just wondering if anyone knew anything more about it.

Don't waste your time. I bet they are going to give you some links to the Columbia House DVD program (kind of like the CD program). It's a good deal, but you can find the same info for free by going to the www.dvdtalk.com website and looking in the DVD Clubs forum.
BTW, Columbia House is a good deal but it's one you don't need to pay for.
Of course, stealing the DVDs outright from Wal-Mart is probably the cheapest method yet, but those greeters don't take kindly to shoplifters......

Yes, Tomwiii could also be correct, but
it's highly likely that any movies beinfg sold
wholesale will NOT be the big blockbuster releases which people want. More likely, they will be the dregs that no one can get rid of.
Some of the time, wholesale inventory comes from merchandise which didn't do well in the stores.
Afterall, why would a wholesaler sell you 10 high quality DVDs for $50 when they could sell them individually (as the retail stores do)
for $15-$20.
