When you call the 800 number of a mail order catalogue to place an order, the operator has a list of "upsell" merchandise she will offer you during the duration of the call. The idea is that if a customer likes one of your items enough to order, they're already partly pre-sold on another item.
I'm not sure how eBay sellers can upsell more effectively, though. You can offer a special item in your EOA/WBN, but anyone can do that...you don't have to be an AW customer.
Does AW have a special feature that promotes upselling?

Hello dacreson & fluffythewondercat,
Thank you for your questions. AuctionWatch does have a feature that helps you sell fixed price items to buyers of auction items. When you send a Winning Bidder Notification using the AuctionWatch Post Sale system, the buyer will be taken through a secure checkout system, which now includes full shopping cart capability. If you have an AuctionWatch Storefront with fixed price items available, some of those items will be displayed in the checkout process to encourage the buyer to add more to his/her shopping cart. Full details regarding how to set this up can be found by clicking the link in the original post in this thread.
Many AuctionWatch users already take advantage of this feature to sell more items without having to pay any additional fees. Everything mentioned above is currently included at no additional charge in all selling plans (except the Annual Listing Plan, which restricts the use of Post Sale Management).
We've designed our services to be comprehensive and hope you are able to use them to their fullest. Please let us know if you have further questions or comments.

eBay will have a cow over this. I don't know what kind of relationship AW has with eBay, but this will surely strain it.
Will this plan pass muster with eBay's TOS ?
In any event, WAY TO GO AW !!! This plan allows eBay sellers to begin better branding of their own businesses and merchandise.

dman3: I think that's the whole point. eBay wants to make transactions even more closed and restrictive...and anything AW (or anyone else) does to promote off-eBay buying will hurt the slumbering giant eBay.

Find out how to sell more at no additional cost!
They promote using Google Adwords and that is definitely an additional cost so it's slightly misleading.

eBay will have a fit because the off eBay sales are being generated directly through an eBay transaction.
