Which is the best way to list your auctions with gallery added on not. $0.30 vs $0.55

I used the gallery a long time ago but I stopped. I never used it as a buyer was my reasoning. You'd have to run some identical auctions one with and one without the gallery for a while to really know for sure.

I was wondering just that a few weeks ago ~ so last week I did not use gallery option to see what would happen .... not many bids or hits on mine ( I usually sell a bunch of stuff each week, mostly clothing and textiles ) So relisted them with gallery image and guess what .... bids galore !!

I thought I could save some money ... all those ebay fees add up real fast ! So I guess it pays off to use it unless that was just a fluke !! You know ... slow week !
I might try it again in a few weeks to see for sure

NOT gina50 on ebay

it depends on what your selling. most of the time as a buyer, the gallery doesnt attract-me-however I just bid on some solar lights and the gallery helped a great deal-I could see what kind of lights they were without having to click on every auction.

I swear by the gallery. Unless it is a really cheap item, or so tiny the detail will not show at all, I go with the gallery.

When I browse, I'm finding myself not bothering to look at non-gallery items, because I like seeing right up front if I'm interested or not. I'm not on broadband, and it takes too long for pages to load!

I DO have better success with gallery, and have tested it several times with the same result. I simply quit selling most "yard sale" type stuff, and for the most part don't list anything under $5-$10 anymore.

Hi

I use the gallery for every auction I put up.
I believe that the buyers will look at a gallery photo first.

There are some buyers who only look at gallery photos. I find that the bids come in better with the gallery photo.

Hope this helps.

I sell fairly expensive antiques. I used to use the gallery, but never could put my finger on any benefit, so I quit using it...doesn't seem to have affected sales one bit.....I do know that when I had a dial up connection, I never used the gallery for buying, because I couldn't bear the wait for all those thumbs to load, I wonder if other people with 56k connections feel the same?....
