I see he was briefly mentioned in the jotmail news today on online scams and danger of ebays, as now they estimate he has ran off with over 400,000 dollars, and checking with many (older) post on web pages, buyers are complaining that ebays hasn't turned any info to the authorities, and seems like ebays did a good job covering their asses. Has anybody heard new update on this fellow? Has any sellers here ever had any communication with him in the past?
I sell videos, and I have seen a substantual drop in purchased since thebarry got away with 400,000, or people afraid to pay because of thebarry. When I file NPB, I have recieved several emails from many buyers saying "I am sorry I haven't sent payment, but hoe do I know if you are indeed going to send the item? I was taken by thebarry", so I had to tell many "look at my flawless (until that dead email guy ruined it) feedback. I too was taken by thebarry, iiam in your shoes, you can trust me". And that usually brings confidence in the transaction. (
Sorry I am posting this, but getting taken 200 dollars by him, AND having many customers deadbeat using the thebarry as a execuse, and getting investigated by safeharbour from a deadbeat, kind of made me what to get it out of my system. I mean no story, no update from ebays, and the way ebays handled this matter kind of get's me.

Why don't you contact someone about it. Doesn't CNET do stories on people like this. This is the first I have heard about it but I checked him out and he had a fantastic business, at least for a while, then when he sold all those items he thought it was easier to keep the money and not send the item. He probably didn't even have them.
