I've used it for german WWII items verboten on eBay, buying and selling. It's fine for those items.

I tired it on and off over the past year or so. It’s a wonderful site, easy to negotiate because it is so similar to eBay, easy to list on and to make purchases. The problem for me was I listed items that had a high sell through rate on eBay yet received no activity at all on e-Pier. In fact once I listed several items for 20 + days and forgot they were even listed there due to the lack of response.

It’s sad e-Pier isn’t doing more to promote their site. If they did they could easily win over eBay users both sellers and buyers because the two venues are so similar in nature unlike Yahoo for example.

I really like epier as well, but don't count on getting rich there. Sales are very few between. Too bad as their servers always work and image hosting is great. Just no buyers there.
I use it as a parking lot for slow auctions just to keep them listed somewhere.

Isn't e-Pier the one that charges a fee to ask the seller a question? I cancelled my membership with them. I was already to place a bid, but did not want to fork over (was it $25?) to ask a question.

From ePier buyer's Q&A

Q: I have a question about an item. How do I contact the seller?

A: The quickest way to ask a seller a question about their auction, is to click on the words (ask seller a question) displayed on the top portion of every listing. You may also request additional contact information for that seller, by going to the SiteMap, and clicking on the words (Contact a Registered User).

Yes, you can ASK a seller a question. But they won't release the answer until you pay $25 mailbox fee (or something like that). It sends you an e-mail saying seller is sending a response, click here to receive it. When you click to receive it, it asks for $$$ or you can't read their answer.
