I went to go relist some of my inventory items and found that AW now supports the fixed price auctions (yeah!). My question is that I thought ebay was going to make a seperate tab in the auctions for fixed priced items. Now all I see is "auctions" "buy it now" and "all items". Anyone heard anything about the new tab? Trying to go through their chat boards is a nightmare! Couldn't find a thing except for people saying "hi" to each other

The fixed price items at least if I understood correctly where to show up in the buy it now tab. The third tab that was added was the all items tab.

Do you really think so. Ebay will lose alot of money if that is the case. There are many items you can't put a fixed price on. Take for instance, I had a widget I put on auction for $4.99. I thought about using the BIN and I am glad I didn't because it went for $61.00. (Love those kind of widgets) If I had put a fixed price on they would lose FVF because my fixed price would have $6.99. Instead they got the fee for $61.00 not $6.99

My first Fixed Price Listing just closed.
Normally I sold my widgets one or two listings at a time, but tried putting three up with a ten day FPL (Fixed Price Listing).
All three sold before the 10 days were up.
I saved on listing fees.
Made more money.
So it is another tool to use for selling. Using it does not mean I am giving up on my regular auction items. It is simply a new and different way to sell.

I agree. I am still using auctions for most of my items - anything that I only have one of, but the fixed price is perfect for those items that I have multiples of and I know what they are going to sell for. It's much cheaper than using a dutch auction. I can list 3 or 4 of something (depending on the price) for the same listing fee that I list one of them for.
Ok, that sounds a little run-on...but I'm still waking up.
