My son, a long time bidder on ebay was NARU'd with NO notice and NO idea why. Excellent feedback. He has called ebay and they give him this online form to fill out that takes him in CIRCLES!!!!!!!!!! He cannot get any help from LIVE HELP, they all say he has to fill out that form on that link that won't work.
Suggestions?????????????

Hello
As a parent we defend our children and assume they are blameless. Ebay has been vilified considerably, sometimes with cause. However if it were myself I would do some homework. Did your son send negative feed back (Look at all feedback record on him)? Did he send an inappropriate e-mail to a seller or a buyer? (Check his send file, which can be removed). Was he shill bidding with his friends? There is a reason. Ebay just don’t axe someone for no reason. Ebay may be wrong and sometimes is, but they had a reason. Do what you can to find the reason. Ask him why they did that and what were the things he did prior. All this may not produce results or worse yet may produce results you don’t want to know. However is not a car wreck, a new bad disease (like diabetes) is just an ebay issue. Good luck and don’t over react.

Full out the form & conform to the eBay rules. eBay wouldn't just suspend him w/o a good reason. I can't believe he is as innocent as he says.

Just keep sending emails, they will eventually respond. I'm sure NARU'd people aren't a top priority to respond to. Try going to a higher up. Customer Service job is mainly to get rid of you, and have no immediate power anyway. I always email Meg, she gets tired of me but she can't ignore me.

Same thing happened to me on Yahoo. Never had a chance to prove my side of the story, they just cut me off completely from everything including email, and all my accounts through Yahoo. It sucks when you have important info vanished like that.

Things like this is the reason I'm cutting back selling on ebay. Can't trust them.

Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

There must have been a reason, at lease something that he did to have a seller get mad at him, that is about the only thing I can think of. You said he just bids and he doesn't sell? Have him go through his previous bidding auctions and see if there is anything unusual. If he keeps emails check them also. I have a habit to hardcopy a lot of my correspondence so I have records. Check feedbacks also. If someone that does nothing wrong and Poff he's' gone I am just going to keep my fingers crossed.

Well, I was suspended for no reason, I have no outstanding auctions, no negatives, no non paying bidder complaints, and was NARU'd without email notice or explanation. I have used the webforms and they are useless. I called and they are useless too. I emailed safe harbor and got the auto reply to use the web form that I had already sent for 2 days. I need a contact number for Meg or someone to find out what the problem is. I am a fully grown adult of almost 56 yrs in age. I can honestly say this was not of my doing, I am innocent, totally, of anything to merit this suspension. Any suggestions?????

A couple of years ago, Pacific Bell changed the area codes here in Central Calif. After the overlap period, I went for about a year with the old area code on file with Ebay, which amounts to invalid contact info. I would never have caught it if a newbie bidder had not pulled my contact info and I got a copy of the email which showed the number I had on file with Ebay. (the newbie thought all transactions were supposed to be completed with a phone call) If Ebay had tried to phone me for any reason during that period of time, I would have been zapped.

Has he changed his email address, phone number, or anything else since he registered? Does he have any spam filters or blocking options turned on that would cause an email from Ebay to bounce back?

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

InkyDinky. sparkz hit the nail on the head when he advised you to examine your contact information.

When eBay NARUs an id, eBay sends the id an email with the trangressions listed.

If you don't know why you were NARUed, that means you never received the email from eBay. That is where you need to look, figure out why you didn't get that email and you will be on the way to solving the problem.

Is he selling anything potentially infringing (i.e. copyright, trademark)? I seem to remember a post once where a gal got reprimanded for selling homemade soaps that were in the shape of Snoopy (no license from C. Schultz's estate). ???

I had 8 total auctions pulled three days ago, I am a 58 yr old woman who is trying to help pay bills after a nasty auto wreck. Funny as this part sounds, 2 of the auctions were already closed. ebay sent the winning bidders a letter which they forwarded to me that they were under "no obligation. THe sellers up here in Alaska say that ebay is out to get me and why? I am a small time seller and have no violations. Yet they pulled everything that has to do with Ak.Art, which I deal in and they are not endangered species. I belong to the new Silver Hands Program which is backed by the Federal Trade Commission and all my work is authentic. They pulled the baleen because it was not scrimmed several wks ago, when everyone was selling baleen. So once I had finally got an ok to sell scrimmed baleen they pulled Every single one. I actually feel heartsick, as this has gone way too far and the other sites don't really have the exposure. I only got a canned message from Fair Trade. I know there is fraud out there but why pick on the folks who are NOT doing anything illegal and better yet they should check before pulling any items and not take someone who has nothing better to do than to turn in innocent folks. In the canned message it says that a person can get kicked off there if there is enough warning and I am concerned about that. There are unscrimmed pieces out there as I write this, very interesting, but this is the height of unfairness.

dotteeb,I wish everyone that has been treated like you and allykats son would post here.
Sounds like there doesnt need to be a reason, and they are doing it on purpose.
Is this how ebay decided to get rid of marginal sellers, and started the new snitch
program.
The bunch in charge has no common sense, this
has been shown time after time.
In time this will bite their butts.I do a burn on how they treat people,Wish I had the answers you need or someone here might know what to do other then logging a complaint
with the Feds.Or band together with others
who have been done the same way.

Thank You so very much junquemama, and I seriously wish that they had personnel like you there. It's just sad to everyone that this has to happen to. I am still trying to figure out what to do next.
Thank you again and have a Wonderful Week End.
