Well here's the problem. Tuesday I received some pictures from a relative. I opened them in a hotmail account individually as attachments and hotmail showed there was no virus, plus afterwards I ran a check to see if there was a virus on the computer and it shows there is not. I printed each one but after each picture I had to shut down completely to get the printer to print the next one. Now when I send from that hotmail account it says it can't send because there is an unknown error and it stays in the outbox. BUT here's the kicker - the receipient gets the email 6 to 8 times!

This is the only account this happens on. There are two other hotmail accounts and one msn account that runs fine. I am at a lose as to how to fix this. I ONLY know how to USE a computer not fix problems!! lol!!

Can anyone tell me in simple terms how to fix this? If it will run into anything complicated I would have to get someone else to do it. SORRY this is long but I REALLY need help here!!

Jack do you mean uninstall everything then reinstall with the software that came with the computer? Would I loose everything but what is on the original software? All the stuff I have on here? Some I have backed up with disks but certainly not all.

I wanted it to be fixable with a couple of clicks here and there!!! lol!!! NO WAY HUH??
Well if I have to surely I can. This afternoon I will try it.

Thanks jack!!!

I don't use outlook at all. I use internet explorer browser with hotmail. I use msn homepage. But sometimes go to hotmail page to open pictures. Does this make sense?

Yea jack I'm trusting to a certain degree!! To a fault sometimes. I think everyone knows more than I do about computers. But I really don't want to mess up the other 3 accounts I use. At least I can still receive AND send on those 3.

It sounds like the attachment files (pics) were really large. That would definitely explain why you had to restart between printing. Most likely you will need to contact Hotmail support and ask them to refresh your email account. Large attachments can easily reak havoc on webmail accounts.

Hi JDK,

BananaSpider that sounds easy and I hope that will do the trick. Although I'm going to do a defragment before I go any farther. Will let you know if refreshing solves the problem. I have removed a lot of pictures I had stored on here and I think a defrag will help the speed.

HI hair2 - You sound like me. I don't know a thing either! I think I just sit and hope it heals itself!! lol!! But BananaSpiders suggestion sounds good to me.

Well I can't BELIEVE this! I just hit refresh at the top of the page and sent 2 emails and didn't get the error message. Haven't heard back to know if they got several emails yet but I BET IT IS FIXED!! WHOPPEEEE!

BananaSpider it was because of you that I even thought of doing that. THANKS!

Now I'm just going to sit here and hold my breath (kind of) that they got only one.

If I was a drinking person I would have one now!! Since I'm not, a cup of coffee is in order.
