How long does parcel post to alaska take? The web site says "cannot determine time".

from area code 14850 to 99522

It will depend on what state in the lower 48 you are shipping from. Florida will take longer than Washington or Oregon. Call the Post Office.

The Alaskan zip code may be fairly remote so there may be a few factors affecting the delivery time, the truck drive to a West Coast port, the boat ride, and the truck drive to the final destination.

I know that parcel post from Anchorage, Alaska can take 3 - 5 weeks. Most mail would come directly into Anchorage or Juneau (two major cities with ports) and then be dispersed. If it is going to a remote site on the road it wouldn't take any longer than 2 days to drive there. Anything off the road would fly in and I'm not sure how often those flights are scheduled but I would imagine they are pretty frequent.

30 degrees out today and snow on the mountains. Winter is here.

I grew up in Ithaca and lived there for 17yrs. I don't miss it a bit.
Gave up the snow and cold for the sun and beachs of florida. You could not pay me enough to move back. Nice to visit in the summer. Have you put your snow tires on yet, If not will have too soon. Hvae you turned your heat on yet?? We are still running the AC 24/7.
Good luck to you.
