14 weeks ago I bid on a dutch auction for Flat Hose, I used Paypal credit card to pay (thank goodness). Waited the 30 days and did a chargeback and got my money.
I was I of 116 bidders, about 80 of us have kept each other informed because the seller "claimed to have shipped these hoses out twice" The seller "claimed to have a Post Office enployee write us each a email" which was a fraud. Now the seller admits he did NOT ship these before and was just trying to pacify us. Of course he was unregistered with Ebay 4 weeks after auction.
Many bidders did a charge-back through Paypal. Of course sellers account was empty. Now Paypal is going after the seller and guess what? The seller wanted us to reverse our charge-backs after 14 weeks and the seller is shipping hoses in OCTOBER that we bid on in JULY! In our group alone we figure Paypal cash and charge was used for almost $1,850.00 for hoses and shipping.
We all wrote to seller and said NO WAY, Seller claims he has to ship hoses he has to choice. I wrote and told him his choice is to Pay Paypal the money they paid us. We have our refund and want nothing more to do with him.
He sent one bidder hoses with conformation and bidder refuse them and sent them back. I have talked to my mailman and left a note where packages get dropped off that I will not accept a package from this jerk.
Paypal is after seller and after 14 weeks after auction the seller is trying to force us to take his hoses. Other bidders got Broken hoses, empty boxes.
I used/use Paypal for all the auctions that will allow it. Thank you for any help ending the "NIGHTMARE AUCTION" He is making good money off shipping ($22 profit on my order).
Is this what Paypal wants? Get Seller who pulled all this crap off the hook and reverse the charge on 40 bidders?

Have you intiated a chargeback on your credit card? If so, then the seller has already lost the money and why is now shipping the hoses?
Also, I think there was a thread here about the hoses, but is the sellers id?

OH the seller wished we would have given up months ago. We are fighting against fraud. Many of the people who paid Paypal cash and checks wanted refunds but got hoses sent to them (he is making a bundle off shipping alone). The seller is shipping hoses to the "Paypal chargebacks with conformation" EVEN though we did charge backs.
The question is can this be done? Can Paypal reverse the charge back after all this time WITHOUT our approval?
Seller is quite dim, after claiming to ship out this auction TWICE and writing a email to us all stating it was from a US Postal Employee, and than admidting he was wrong to do that.
Out of our group who info each other of this auction, about 1/3 did chargebacks. Sellers account was empty. Seller would have to pay Paypal the chargeback amount sooooo he is trying to send everyone, with conformation 14 WEEKS after the auction ended.
It may be only a mere $90.25 on my bid but that auction is null and void after 60 days let alone 14 weeks.
The seller is trying to hose the group, but NO CAN DO.
Now we hear his girlfriend is registered and taking over, at least we 80 bidders know which state to watch for.
