I can't remember, and haven't read anywhere yet, whether tommorow is a Federal holiday.
Meaning, is the Post Office open tommorow?

I know, dumb question, but it would be nice to have a day off from my daily trip there

The P.O. is a no go, it's Columbus Day!

You are right, it is a stupid question. ALL FEDERAL & STATE OFFICES & BANKS ARE CLOSED TOMORROW. Where have you been??

NearTheSea, It's not a dumb question. Sanmar is having his usual problems once again with constipation and those nasty hemorrhoids.

How many schools actually get the day off? I can not ever remember getting that day off of school when I was a kid and most schools are still in session these days. I do remember seeing on the TV every year that schools in nearby San Francisco go the day off due to the large Italian-American population there.

Thanks all

Sanmar, been right here, but didn't see anyone talking about it... and usually, from what I've seen before, they usually say something about a Postal holiday

tooltimes, I don't ever remember getting out of school as much as the kids do today, or when my kids went, seemed they was always a day off, or early release 2 or 3 x a months, then the spring, summer, xmas, and 'winter' (up here it was in Feb) 'vacations'.

Well, since we're asking, how about UPS?

My Bank was open. Maybe you should change banks to one that is more customer oriented. Remember, you are the customer. They need to work for you.

Actually, not all state offices were closed. In Arkansas, Columbus Day is not an official state holiday so poor state employees like myself had to work. Boo Hoo.
