With the apparent rise in deadbeat bidders, I'm sure I'm not the only one experiencing a rise in scam artists -- thought I'd share two that were particularly irritating.

1. By mistake, I sent a customer two shipments of the same item -- it's happened one time before and the customer merely refused the second shipment, I got the merchandise back -- no problem.

I e-mail the customer informing them of the situation -- he says that as long as I reimburse shipping in case someone at his house (or himself) accepts it by accident, it's fine.

About a week or so later, UPS tracking shows the customer signing for both items, I see that and send a few e-mails trying to see if it would get sent back; all the while figuring I was just out of the money for that item, victim of my own stupidity.

Wrong.

The buyer e-mails me, (never mentioning the duplicate item) wants a full refund, says his parents bought for him as a gift and it wasn't what he wanted. (Meanwhile, I have about 10 e-mails from him asking about the item, he paid for it, etc -- parents were never in the picture) I ask him about the duplicate item and he feigns stupidity. I tell him that he wouldn't get a refund since he's trying to get an item for free and not pay for it.

He then claims that he did send the extra item back (First he ever mentioned it) will send the second one back when I say I'll give him a refund.

So I ask for the tracking number and receipt of the first one being shipped back -- so I can refund the shipping cost (37 lbs item) -- to date no response.

Idiot -- why did he think he'd get away with this? It's one thing to keep both items, but quite another to keep one, and get a refund for the other and get an item for free.

Dolt.

2. This one is simple:

Buyer sends me an e-mail asking if his Merchandise had been shipped, I normally respond to such e-mails ASAP -- but he aleady had a tracking number, shipment status e-mail, and his item was scheduled to arrive that day. I receive e-mails from customers all the time asking where their stuff is and the item arrives that day.

2 Days later -- I send him an e-mail that basically states that he should've received his item 2 days prior, if he didn't receive the themm, then he should let me know, thank you for your business -- provides a link to my store, etc.

He complains to Pay Pal claiming that the item never arrived -- wants a refund, etc.

Here's the thing:

According to UPS -- he received the item less then three hours after he e-mailed me and signed for it himself.

Dolt -- why does he think he can get away with that one?

anyway, that's all for now............

"He complains to Pay Pal claiming that the item never arrived -- wants a refund, etc. "

Fraud artist. You should report this to PP and have them terminate his account.
