Buyer sent her payment via PayPal and I shipped her package that day. The item was shipped to the address she put on the PayPal and my auction service check out forms.
The package was returned 2-weeks later as "Non-Deliverable: Unable To Identify."
Of course, I contacted the buyer immediately who responded that she was so sorry that she had transposed her address numbers and she gave me her correct address.
Now, she wants to know why she has to pay for the shipping again.....

I just had a good one. Customer purchased paperback books. I received payment and shipped next day even though they sent a check and had only 27 feedbacks. They declined to pay for insurance so I didn't purchase.
Customer tells me books never arrived and he is bent out of shape. Even though I normally don't refund if ins isn't purchased, this wasn't a large amount and I figured it would make him happy.
WRONG!!!
I just received a neg from him stating that he never got the merchandise. Nothing about the fact that I spent hours tracing the package and that I refunded him in full including shipping charges.

I think that transactions like that should be sent to ebay with a letter stating their feedback system doesn't work and this proves it. I hope you answered back with a big bright negative. What I have been doing is now stating postage that includes insurance, even on the smallest packages. There seems to be a lot of this going on and even if the buyer doesn't want insurance, if it is included in the postage price they have to pay it.

I almost always quote for postage AND insurance. Only exception is when the sale price is less that $10.00. I then give the buyer the option of taking insurance or not. I feel a little guilty charging $1.30 insurance on a $7.00 purchase.
Despite the high cost of living, it remains popular

if you take the package to the PO and explain the problem, they may reship without more postage....never hurts to ask.

I had a buyer on Half.com about a year ago. I sent a book via Media Mail and it was returned because of a bad address the buyer had given me. I wrote to Half and asked them what to do next. The contacted the buyer and got a new address from the buyer and said they would eat the extra s/h. I sent the book to the new address and it came back with a bad address label. When I contacted Half they reimbursed me both shipping allowances and booted the buyer.

I sold a book in June.
Sent a reminder in July. Of course I received his check in the mail later the same day.
Mailed the book the next day.
Received the book back in the mail in August as unclaimed.
Sent him an email saying if you will send more postage and a good address I will re-mail.
October: Never heard from him. I still have the book. Think I will donate it to the library book sale later this month.

How about this:
Buyer bids on item -- wins, 30 minutes later he e-mails me stating that he is not paying for the item -- because it wasn't the right type. So, I e-mail him back, tell him all bids are final but that I have items of the "type" he wants -- e-mail bounces, as do subsequent e-mails.
Week or so later, he bids on another item of mine, an item of the "type" he wants. Since I've already filed a NPB -- I add him to my Blocked Bidders List and cancel his bids.
He e-mails me asking why I canceled his bids--- and of course, his e-mail bounces.
Another bidder, bought something on 9/28 -- never responded, never paid. I file a NPB on 10/14 -- nuked him on 10/24 -- so he bids on another thing this morning -- actually contacts me, asking how to pay. *Chuckles*
