What does it take to get booted from eBay as a seller? There are some sellers with awful feedback ratios.

Despite the high cost of living, it remains popular

Yes I would like to know too, I had a very rude buyer, saw in 7 days she neg'd 7 people for no good reason, So I gave her a neg first (after a rude email) so that's 8 in 7 days out of 33 positives in several months... when will she go away??? And I am still waiting for my negative she forgot to leave it for me. Maybe christmas day she will!

It is difficult for a buyer or to get booted off because you have to have a -4 feedback from 4 unique users. If a buyer wins 10 auctions from one seller and doesn't follow thru 10 negatives can be given but it is from 1 unique seller so the feed back only registers 1. A seller can get booted off by not following the rules dictated by ebay and also for a -4 negative feedback

The quickest way for a seller to get booted off of ebay is to be a deadbeat on paying your listing fees to ebay.

Libra,
My bidder got another neg, just checked, 9 in 8 days all differant sellers. She pays then negs the sellers. Is there something special we need to do to have her 86'd outta here? I have been lucky this is the craziest one I have ever seen, lucky me!

I believe the buyer will be suspended if they get 3 NPB's. I never neg, just file NPB and watch them disappear.

Ain't that the truth.

eBay couldn't care less when a bidder stiffed me with a series of bad checks to the tune of $500.

But when she sent them a bad check to cover her eBay Store fees, they chopped her off tout suite.

Actually, now that I think about it, it's sort of comforting that eBay gets stiffed occasionally, too.

I think ebay lose mega bucks everyday to sellers not paying their tab. It would cost ebay too much to collect the lost fees so they eat those fees. ( more likely write them off as a tax loss )

Any action by a seller that causes Ebay to experience a financial loss will be thoroughly investigated by Safeharbor. At the conclusion of the impartial investigation, the offending seller will be sumarrily shot by a firing squad at sunup and fed to the sharks in the Eastern portion of the San Francisco Bay. Hence the name E(astern) Bay.
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

Hair2dye4-If her feedback rating is over 10 it will take at least 14 unique negatives to get her suspended. She has to end up with a -4. As I have always said in order to be a bidder they should have to pass a test. i.e. read the rules then the test and if they pass you know that they have read all the rules and they are good to go. I think reading skills have gone out the window, but then again some sellers TOS are books in themselves and it takes to long to read them.

Libra63:

Did they do away with the 3 NPB's and you are out rule? I haven't checked the rules out lately, but I just assumed it was still in place. It seems to shake bidders up when they get one at any rate.

The 3 NPB's rule still stands.
I just filed one & the guy got booted out. Then he emailed me & blamed me that he was NARU'd. He said unless I removed the NPB so he could be reinstated he was not interested in the item.
I had another one a month ago or so. Same situation. The guy told me that eBay emailed him & told him that *I* got him kicked off eBay. Barraged me with emails to get him reinstated.
In both cases I ignored their emails & reported them to eBay for harrassment. I relisted both items & sold them for more the 2nd time around.

Hi Libra63
Not meaning to change the subject here, but what your saying about the TOS is true, and for me I'm almost on Chapter 3.
Why is it when you list only the important information needed for a bidder they always find a loop hole and now your stuck, only because you didn't list THAT....infor in your listing.
So, what happens is each time a bidder finds another reason to say,,,,,Well you didn't say that in your listing.............Gives me a reason to do so NOW. When info is short and to the point.........this does not work for the Seller at least I have found this to be true.
I myself don't like reading such a long list of Rules, I mean ....Do this by this time, do that by this time, If you don't do that, I will do this, and if you don't plan on completing the auction don't bid or I will do this.....to you, OMG, it doesn't end.

But as life gets harder, so does the TOS.......
Have a Great Holiday!

My TOS has stayed much the same but my WBN has gotten longer and longer. It is half a page now. I offer Insurance as optional and had a foreign bidder pay it. I use Letter Post Airmail for foreign but you can't get insurance on that. It has to be the more expensive Parcel Post Airmail. It is usually $4-$5 more. I had to add the caveat to my WBN that you have a foreign address and want insurance, I will need to recalculate your shipping.
