Did you really think it would stay free forever? It isn't possible to offer this type of service long term without paying a fee. Guess they figured they weren't going to get much bigger, if people were going to leave paypal they would have already...I've never had a single customer ask me to accept payment this way. I would have signed up (and still will) if they ask, but they don't...

Maybe they will fix all the problems they have with it and make it a service that will have paypal looking over its shoulder

nah i didnt expect it to stay free. i have only used it once to pay since the seller asked that i do instead of paypal. i also accept it as a payment option. i have never ever been paid using it.

I paid a seller with c2it about four months ago. After a couple of weeks, I got a nice email from the seller saying that she hadn't received payment. Of course I had forgotten that I paid via c2it, checked my paypal account (where it obviously didn't show up) and apologized profusely and sent her payment via paypal. About a month later, she emailed me that she *found* the c2it payment and was refunding it.
I'm not quite sure what happened. Does c2it notify you if you have a payment?? If so, she didn't remember it. Luckily she was honest but it did raise questions about the c2it system.

They don't seem to improved either. I was looking at that email they sent and clicked a link in it and get this message
"17131: We're sorry. We are temporarily unable to process your request due to system difficulties. Please call Customer Service (see "Contact Us" below).
If they were not worth using for free then who would pay for using that mess?
