This lamp is very old.. I got it many years ago at a Hospital Auction. Do you remember these ? It was white but I painted it blue and used it for reading lamp. The top turns over for different light.
Question.... What catagory to list it in?
Appreciate any info on these lamps. I have no idea what it might be worth..Any one else know? Thanks in advance..

It is an examinating lamp. As you might be aware it can shine down, up or sideways for any kind of examination the doctor does. It is probably white enamel under that blue paint. To bad you painted it as I think it would be worth more white than the blue. It should be under medicine.

I'm not sure how you would get the paint off without ruining the enamel. But, I suppose there is a way. Maybe someone else will have a suggestion for you. Don't feel too bad, I probably would have painted it, too. LOL! Do a search for a medical lamp on Ebay and see what others are getting. Or, you can do an Internet search to see if there are any more out there for sale. That's usually how I determine what to sell something for. Check out the competition. Good luck to you.

At an auction I used to go to every single Wed. night before we moved to CA, the auctioneer would hold up an item of painted furniture, old, and say it had been "painted to protect the finish." LOL It always got a laugh from the audience.
