We've been getting Emails from: Ebay asking for our personal info.
Then we started getting them from Paypal.
Now two days ago I got one from my ISP.
If they start with the ISPs they may pick up a lot of info, there are a lot of unsuspecting people out there.
Ones who don't run into it as often as we do here on the online auction front!
If you get them from anyone don't answer them!
Forward them to the said would be provider!
They will let you know if they are real or not, then take it from there!

There are scam letters from Yahoo Auctions too. The real bonanza will be when they start hitting small third tier sites like Bidville Auction. There are a lot of gullible sellers at the smalland isolated sites.

Newbie coming down from the rafters...
I got my first just the other day and it was so blatant it was pitiful. Even worse, his/her/its ISP was visible in the headers. Of course, that was a bonus for me, and allowed me to report them to their ISP as well as ebay
I can certainly see how someone new to ebay or auctions in general would fall for it though! Thank goodness for these message boards or I might even have given it a second thought.
