Remember she was taking the week off to clean and sort her ebay room. Now if it was me I would have to take off longer than that.
We will make sure this stays close to the top so she will see it.

Thanks Roadsmith!!!

I'm back!! Now, I need to get my energy and incentive back to clean the ebay room. Camping was great. I'm sunburned and my arms ache from canoeing 9 miles. I have to say that the Mohican area in Ohio is just gorgeous. Great antique shops, too. Okay, I'll admit it. I spent Saturday afternoon antiquing. Millersburg also has some great shops and the prices are unbelieveably cheap. Got a turn of the century Emerald and white gold filigree (10k) brooch for $5!!! I don't think she knew what she had or bothered to read the mark. Isn't it yummy!

Also got a mid 19th century Japanese platter, an Art Deco Republic Steel Corp. ashtray and a cute Italian Alabaster double picture frame box with handpainted roses. Not too bad for under $30!

Cheryl: Tell me that isn't real emerald in the brooch?! It's very pretty anyway, but I'm just curious. Yes, you do have a very good eye.

Friends of ours just got back from a 6-week road trip from CA to the East Coast. They could not believe the low prices in the antique shops, said they'd have filled a trailer if they'd had one. We can only watch and feel wistful; our prices are so high out here.

Cheryl Picture's gone Your vacation sounds a lot better than mine. I spent all week running around after my two-year-old nephew saying things like "Honey? Honey? SPIT THAT OUT!" (Also, "Put that down," "Don't put your fingers in there," and "I'm sorry sweetheart, but howling like a banshee is not going to make me change my mind and give you the lighter back." ) I have no idea how my sister deals with this 24/7/365.

Oops, changed the pic for auction. It's back now. I've been trying to quit smoking. My boyfriend quit a year ago and I'm being nagged to death. You'd think he never smoked a day in his life!!! I can relate. Now, PUT THAT DOWN! LOL
