Is there any place I can go to list auctions all on one page? It seems really dumb to me to have to click NEXT 5 times to list ONE item. Why can't we just put all the info into ONE page and click LIST?

Advertisers pay for space on websites by the amount of traffic. So if you want to increase your revenue, you simply keep concatenating your pages. Convert one page into 5 and you increase page hits by 500%.

http://www.auctionworks.com is the best around.

No ads, just a service. And it's a lot more full-featured than sparedollar, although not as cheap.

The features just KEEP ON COMING!

Especially with the improvements to the LISTER, it is now just as easy to create auctions as anywhere else.

MASSIVE BANG FOR DAY BUCK ($4.95/mo)!!

For small sellers like me (<50 auctions/week) how can ya go wrong??

If I were a biggie, I'd go with VD -- I've tried virtually all the rest, & (fur Ralphie & I) it's either SD or VD.

CA: too expensive with SNOTTY CS!
AUCTION VULTURE: strange site that changes things that donna need changing & donna change thems that does! NTM: wierd??!!
AUCTIONWERKS: obstuse instructions & tooooo expensive!

VD is da best for BIG-SHOTS! SD bestest fur little guys like us

Tom- Auctionworks is only $14.95 a month + 1% of sales. Depending on your volume it's cheaper than VD or CA. Once you learn the system, they are the most flexible of all of them. Their inventory system is their strong point.

Definitely SD is the cheapest, but it's pretty bare-bones compared to the others. As you say it's good for low-volume sellers. The post-sale features are the weak point.

VD is probably the easiest to use of all of them. I especially like the offline listed SMPRO. But they are easy to outgrow if you get to be high-volume.

CA is too expensive and too inflexible. If you want to sell the same item at eBay, Yahoo and Amazon you need to create three seperate ads for each item. That's a LOT of effort. They are very strong on the post-sale end.

Never looked at Auction Vulture.

Andale is overpriced, and from what I hear they are a real mess to get away from.

Not so bare-bones anymore!

The major stumbling block to auction creation was the CLUNKY image attachment mode -- Tomas just fixed that last month & it is now very EASY to create auctions.

IMAGES: automatically does the title bar whatsis, so I donna have to worry about that now!

COUNTERS: incredible amount of info & flexibility!

TRACKER: better than the cheesey feeBay SM (which feeBay charges $5/mo for) with the bonus of combining invoices! Thankfully, there is NO link baloney that takes folks to a web-site to fill in personal info, & I pray he never goes that route.

GALLERY...free!

pretty impressive set of tools for $4.95/mo!

I found Auctionwerks to be incomprehensible & overpriced!

OTOH: me be small-fry...if I were BIG DOGGY, I'd use VD without a doubt!

If all you need is something for creating/uploading auctions, try auctionsubmit.com Totally free, works fine, not terribly difficult to figure out. Did I mention *free*?

I'm sticking with Vendio for listing. Still like the ease of use and the price is right.

I LOVE Works. I used Vendio for awhile but it was too slow and buggy for me. On accounts where I sell repeat items it takes me all of about 2 minues to list 30 or 40 auctions. On my single item account I can run thru listings in no time easily see what I have in stock, move items around (like to the ever growing Free Listing Day folder) and manage image. Best of all it really does not cost that much - it's actually a 1% or 14.95 whichever is greater and for the extras it's worth it. I have the customized EOA letter, reminder letter, paid and shipped letters, automatic reciprocal feedback, inventory tracking plus can file NBPA on Fixed Price items as well as auction items which Vendio did not do (might now - didn't when I stopped using it) It may not have all of the art driven templates but I prefer clean and simple anyway - the item should shine, not the template.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

A/W, Now Vendio needs to get rid of NON users of their services. You don't have a monthly bill,,Out,,,,,hit the road..Paying memebers ONLY.

Either you are a paying memeber and have EVERY right to voice your opinions or your NOT and some are just here to interfere. Sell nothing on e bay or anywhwere else for that matter. Parrot what has been read from OTHER boards......

Just my two cents from scanning this.

BOOOOT!!!!!! NON users OUT!!!!

No monthly bill of ANY kind,,,OUT!!!!! Poof!!!!! end of them.

Actually, I sometimes DO use Vendio for simple, one-of-kind items. The SMPRO offline thing is great for doing quickie one-off auctions of many similar items.

I listed about 50 minatures the other day and it took under an hour. They all had roughly the same description, only the pictures changed.

But for my regular, replacable stock I use Works because of the inventory features. Another good feature of Works is that you can use several eBay selling IDs with only one account there.

There's nothing wrong with having more than one service, either. The right tool for the right job!

I've used AW/Vendio for years and have been happy with the service.

Ace, you are way off base. What has that got to do with this discussion? You are copying and pasting things entirely out of context just to keep it going.

A month ago on the Other Auctions Forum here at Vendio there was a friendly discussion going on about other auction sites when that post was posted out of nowhere. We weren't even discussing auction management companies.

Actually it pretains to this thread much more than the thread it was originally posted in.
I wouldn't use Vendio if it was free but many enjoy it and find it a great help so why not help Vendio out by stiffling any discussion ( and posting of links ) of it's competitors. I'm sure that was what the original poster had in mind but he simply put his post in the wrong thread.

Awww....... Ace.......... was it too much trouble pretending to have me on your permanent ignore list after I kept catching you each time you slipped up? Now you're trying to start something here because I think you just missed talking to me.

I think it's time for you to go beddie-bye. G'nite!

Some good heads-up on different sites, thanks.....I Have been with Auctionwatch as they were since the early freebie days and
it was really a good friendly bunch of people and still are for that matter. The trouble is that once e-bay get their paws on anything the first thing they do is change the user agreements. Gone are the
friendly little emails about when to roll
over your account and instead you a tethered up and your account is automatically rolled over and a chunk of money taken. I would rather feel some
freedom to do what I want, not what is dictated by e-bay style regimentation.

I looked at spare dollar about a year ago. They STILL don't support ebay motors a year after telling me they expected to in a month or two.

Does not look promising.

What I want is a one-page-list-item service. Does any of these offer that?

Vendio ALMOST does...the first page is the irritating category selection that they say they can't work around and after the category is selected it is all one page with no ads or pop-ups aside from the banner at the top of the page..I haven't looked at ALL of the other services, but for my $30/month VD is the best fit for me and I try to average 50 new lists/day.

Eagle... Once again I point to Auctionworks. There is ONE PAGE to fill out. The categories appear in a pop-up if you want to browse them, or you can type the number if you know it.

But there is still only ONE PAGE to work on.

Got two similar items? Make the first auction and save it. Type over the info for the next item, only changing the relevant stuff and click "save as new" ta-da! Two similar auctions.

And if you want to list on Yahoo as well as eBay, just do it. The same listing works for either place.

Just looked at Works-- already confused about the fees!! One of the things it looks like it offers that VD doesn't is custom reports..anyone ever use those?

The fees are simple.

They don't charge any per-auction fees. They charge by the amount of disk space you use for your images. Most people use the $14.95 option. There is also a percent or so (with a set maximum) of FVF they charge if the item sells. The storefront is free with any size account.

Yes, their reports are one of the best features. Every month I run a Profit/Loss statement to see which items I want to get more of or drop. I like that they consider the auction listing fees and shipping amounts in the reports. It's VERY easy to see whether or not you are profitable with these reports.

There are other reports available, but I don't use them.

From what I understand, the slow loading catagory page is one of Vendio's top priorities, but as long as Ebay keeps creating and deleting categories, sub catagories and leaf catagories it will necessitate downloading numerous catagory maps which takes time. A small tradeoff when the alternative is errored out launches. The first catagory download is always long, but if you resist the temptation to clear your cache, subsequent listings in the same session will go much faster. My biggest complaint with Vendio is that they don't publicize some of the undocumented features on their site. Many of these are unintentional flukes that can be used to advantage. The best example that I can think of is the ability to create 5 identical auctions in less than 60 seconds with a little creative use of the back button. You can also inadvertantly double launch with this method if not careful. There are many more that if publicized would dramatically cut down on listing times. As it is now, you have to haunt the AM/Imaging Hosting forun to gather up this info as it occasionally comes up in discussion.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

It is free and one page and very easy to use as long as you know how to host your own images somewhere in cyberspace other than using the ebay pic service. Very nice!

I am still a Vendio user mainly because i dont pay a monthly fee. The only thing I really wish we had was one of those cool andale gallery's and the bottom of the auction to show our other auctions.
