For some strange reason, I am suddenly selling more to UK buyers. Just in case this is not a fluke, I wonder what is the best shipping method.
I have used USPS Global Priority successfully, but they don't offer insurance. For that I need to go to parcel post. The items so far tend to be small antiques, under $200. But if I get lucky enough to sell bigger (and/or bigger ticket) items, what are my best options?
I am sure this has been covered before, but it wasn't an issue for me so I didn't pay attention.

euro and british pounds are strong these days,we see more european bidders now.
last time i sold an item to uk buyer worth around 250,she complained there were heavy duty and other taxes, something to the tune of 76 us dollars.
usps air parcel is your best bet with insurance.
fed exp and ups are both expensive .

Global Express Mail is the best because it has tracking and includes $100 of insurance free.
You can also print labels for it on the USPS website with the customs info on. (doesen't require any additional customs forms)
