I had a bidder win an auction and he lives in Japan. He had asked beforehand if I would ship to Japan since I have it stated in my auction that I ship to the US only. Since it was a light, unbreakable item I said I would and told him what the shipping would be. He wants to pay with paypal but he says I have it marked that I don't accept international payments. I went to PayPal to try and figure out what I had to change in order to accept it, or if I actually have to change anything. Can somebody help me as this is my first experience with this. This bidder has excellent feedback so I am sure his payment will be okay. Thanks!

Hi Margie, I just went and looked around paypal .....it could be he's trying to pay with yen...If you have a Premier or Business account, you may set your Payment Receiving Preferences to automatically handle currency payments. If you want to automatically convert any payment you receive to your primary currency, go to the Payment Receiving Preferences page in your Profile.
Under profile tab, selling Preferences ...Payment Receiving Preferences

Remember, that you are NOT covered by PayPal's SELLERS DECEPTION (oops! I mean PROTECTION) POLICY if you ship OUTSIDE the USA -- all he has to do is tell PP that he received NOTHING & PP will YANK the moola outta yer account -- EVEN IF YOU HAVE HIS SIGNATURE,etc, etc!
What amount is your RISK TOLERENCE level??
I don't fault PayPal for this policy, but many folks donna realize it & then come here & P&M when they lose their shirts!
