What makes this come up when I'm revising an auction? I don't list enough to know if it happens every time or not.
"Your listing appears to violate eBay’s Links and Credits policy.
The eBay item page may not refer to or promote individual or commercial websites.
Common examples of violations of this policy include:
“Please visit my website”
“Visit us on the web” "
I don't have any links to anything! I only said if they have any questions to please ask before bidding.

Is your link to the Vendio Checkout the problem? It isn't a double click only a single one? I think eBay has a double click rule but someone with a little more knowledge will help you. That is the only thing I can see.

The links and credits policy deals with third party services, so it could be your Paypal logo doesn't comply because of its size or the fact that, counting the checkout button, you have three clickable links to Vendio. I have three links to Vendio in my auctions also because I use their counters, and I have never received that message. You might want to post this question over in the services - image hosting / Sales Manager forum and see if one of the moderators can have a look at your auction and find the problem.
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

As someone on dial up, I would consider consolidating your photos or using less. It took over 3 minutes for your auction to open. For many potential buyers, this is too long and will cause them to back out and look elsewhere. If you are using cable or DSL, it isn't that big a deal. But then you are targeting a small percentage of internet users.

glassgrl:Keep the pics exactly as they are. They are great. I have sold many BSA patches and Boy Scout patch collectors are a rabid bunch. I'm surprised you haven't been asked to sell the collection as a whole. I sold a bunch of OA Alabama and associated items. Not only do they bid the stuff up high at the beginning, they snipe at the end. They also communicate. I have sold about 40 individual patches and collected about $1300. In fact I would recommend selling items of this era individually as many collectors collect only patches of their troop or council or area. The rest they will use for trade. But they will pay absolute top dollar for any item they want. The people buying these items are in their late forties to mid fifties and they know each other and are highly competitive and are probably making good money. It is the nature of a Boy Scout. In conclusion don't worry about whether or not they will wait for the pics to unload. They absolutely will.

No 486 for me. I have windows XP and 56 k modem. Sure many have faster than me, but many do have slower than me as well.
You need to factor in the study that ebay did about 3 years back in which they studied download times and found that if a page took more than 48 seconds to open, the chances of the person backing out of it to go to another went to nearly 85%. If it opened in less than 48 seconds nearly 100% stayed with the page.

The pictures are only 12k.
It is no more than an auction with one large picture.
A decent dial-up connection would take nowhere near 3 minutes.
Maybe you should pay more that $4.99 per month for your isp.
