I just finished my first go-round with Squaretrade ever.
Buyer buys a game, gets it and complains that it doesn't come with the expansion set. Well, no it doesn't, I sell that seperately. He continues to whine about it until I tell him he can send it back for a refund.
He negged me, calling me a Fraud, etc. & I negged him back, being factful and calm about it. While I'm doing this, I see another seller has recently negged him too.
Next thing I know, the buyer has initiated a Squaretrade case against me. He wants the neg removed. I tell them fine, so long as mine gets removed too. I did nothing wrong and I'm not about to give this guy something for nothing. No dice.
Today they closed the case, and we BOTH still have our negs. The case is listed as "could not resolve."
So if I understand it right, the buyer paid $20 for this case and then STILL ended up keeping the neg. What's up with that?!?!?
Does this Squaretrade thing reflect badly on me in some way (other than the Neg obviosuly). I'm pretty sure it won't but I'd like to hear it from someone who's been there before.
Is it possible to have a month-long full moon?

No, the buyer didn't pay the $20. You can open a case for free; people do it against me all the time, for every reason you can possibly imagine.
It costs $20 to have a feedback removed.
I assure you that no real human third-party was ever involved. This is all automated. The case was closed because your buyer wouldn't fork over the cash.
There is currently no way for anyone to see UnfairTrade cases you've been involved in.

The IDEA behind ST was great in the beginning, but has been perverted by feeBay into just another cash-cow for dem
Basically, the ST seal means only that I paid them the $6 for that month /+/ the "dispute resolution" aspect of ST reflects only the fact that somebody forked over $20 in order to have a NEG nixed.
I do keep their seal on my auctions in an attempt to offer some assurance to me newbie customers that ME-n-RALPHIE ain't crooks.
I know that it's lame, but most newbies don't! Also, it be CHEAP, and, it can't HURT
