I realise that this is a topic that has been talked about before, but I need some help. I want to sell exclusively on the GB site in Pounds sterling. I went to Ebay UK and opened a new account through the UK site, but because I had a US address it bumped me back to the US site. Is there any way around this or does anyone know if,indeed, I can list exclusively on the UK site in pounds.
Thanks

Maybe go to uk site and use their "help" ... would be neat to find out if they're more helpful to you than the u.s. site.

If you have a friend in the uk you may be able to use their address as yours. Ebay will not register you for the uk if you use an american address.
you can still sell in the uk and list in english pounds from your american address.

i have seen german dealers listing on german and us sites in euro and us dollars.
Items listed on german site are described in german and items listed on US site described in english, they are all under on ebay id.
You dont need an overseas address to list on NON USA site.

I'd like to clear up some misconceptions. First you do NOT need a UK address to sell on ebay.co.uk. Second, you can list on eBay UK simply by login in at ebay.co.uk and click on the Sell button. (You'll need an existing seller's account.)
We are located in New Zealand, but have been selling on eBay UK for four years without problem. In fact we even get our eBay fees direct debited from our UK bank account so there are no currency conversions or charges. Our UK customers pay direct into our UK bank account and we ship from NZ, so it's truly a multi-national operation.
Same goes for listing on any eBay international site...

I sell on the UK site every time that they have a free listing day. I am in the USA, registered in the USA, have never even been to the UK. Never a problem. You just have to know the conversion from US dollars to the Euro.
Just go to the UK site and start selling. It is that simple.
