I used to be able to search by area. I read that you could do a search by distance from a zip code. I probably won't explain this well, however I'll try. For example when I am on a page looking at auctions withing the catagory I want, on the left side of the page are several options, such as to search the completed auctions within this catagory, and it use to have option to search by local. I never have found a way to search by zip code. Anyway now the option to search by local is gone! I have checked in display options, and that option is not even on the list to select anymore! I especially like to search first by local as some items I am looking for are very heavy, and like to save on shipping when possible. Can anyone help? Or have I gone blind?!
Thanks,
Pattie

Good morning, Patti ... if you go to the main Search page (located at top of every ebay page), and click on the thing that says something like "try our new enhanced Search" (which I already have bookmarked), you can scroll down to search within ___mi. range of any zip code you want to type in there.
Also, when you pull up just a regular search of whatever, there is a little pull down menu, just right of center, near the top of the listings, where you can rearrange that group of listings, in order of price, date, or locations closest to you.

Thanks, I will try that. Don't know why it all changed from the way it worked before for me. Well ya know Ebay's policy...if something works well....change it....
