We found this today at a yard sale ... the lady who sold it to us looked to be about in her 70's and i asked her if this vase was old, or newer ... she said it is old.
i really like the looks and texture ... it is opalescent, swirled with clear, and has unpronounced little even ridges around the rim ... it is approx. 7" tall by 5.5" across ... does anyone recognize this from any of your knowledge or research books? ... i have several but i'm not finding it.

I can't tell from the picture whether there is a pontil mark on the base. If it is NOT pontiled, it could be Fenton's French Opalescent.

Thank you very much, you two ... I was off googling the Jefferson idea and see a couple similar opal swirl items but they are all in a green, vaseline or blue, and this is clear with opalescent swirl.
Thanks Max ... this is smooth on bottom, no visible pontil. I will go check what I can find with your idea now.
