eBay just sent me a large postcard.

Seems "First-Time Sellers" will get one entire free listing September 16-26. (does not include final value fees, etc).

Of course, I don't qualify for the offer.

Gee... one free listing... What's that worth? Thirty cents? Gosh, eBay is sure being generous, right?

Afraid I wouldn't qualify either.

On FREE listing? Or one FREE listing period? That's a ten day span. Has to be as Many as one can do. They are TRYING to revive. One seems meaningless.

Sounds like they're trying to entice some buyers into becoming sellers.

Interesting the dates, which begin at the start of the Jewish High Holy days, when no observant Jew, or Messianic would post/work during such a time!

The offer is only good on the first listing.

Savings is at least 30 cents. If you list a higher priced item, you can save even more. For example, an item listed at $9.99 will save you 35 cents in listing fees.

Ebay was at the State Fair this year with their "Camp eBay" bus. They are recruiting new sellers in a big way. They were giving out tee-shirts to anyone that attended a 15 minute presentation on how to become a seller and a chance to win prizes for anyone that either registers or is already registered. My guess the restricted FLD period is related to that.
