is anyone else running into this tonight? list in two categories is normally 0.35 x 2 = 0.70 cents. earlier tonight, this was the case. now, it's $0.60 a category!!! x 2 = $1.20 per double listing as opposed to the normal $0.70. ??? quit my double listings for the evening, sigh (i'm not talking vd fees, i'm talking the feeBay fees.).

Was your listing price higher than normal? Ebay upped the list fees a while back; I forget where the dividing line is; used to be $9.99.

Why are you listing in two catagories? Less than 3% of all sales come from catagory searches. Save your cash.

I'm not so sure double categories are a waste of money.
When BUYING... I search by "title and description" and then use the categories on the left hand side of the screen to sift through the listings.
This method was especially helpful when helping the oldest decorate her 1st apartment. (Yea!! One out o' the nest, four more to go ). It was one of those cases where we knew what colors/theme we were looking for, BUT not the precise items. Without the categories, we wouldn't have been able to find anything worth while.

What process is telling you that you're paying those prices?
I don't use Vindaloo -- I list directly on eBay using SYI 2.0 -- and when I go to the final screen to confirm the listing, more often than not the display of fees due on this listing is completely wrong.
If I go to my account, I see that I am actually charged the correct amount. But the amount I am told I will be charged in the listing process is wrong.
Is this what's happening to you? Did you look at your eBay account to see what you were actually charged?

hi teach,
where i saw that the $0.70 double listing had magically turned into $1.20 was at the end of the eBay listing, just before launching. listing straight from eBay, not using VD.
up until a certain point last night, everything i launched that was a double listing was $0.70. then suddenly, for no apparent reason and as is so typical of eBay, things changed: the amount charged was going to be $1.20. i stuck with single category launches for the rest of the evening.
hadn't thought of that, that the correct amount might show up on the invoice as opposed to the incorrect amount i was looking at. sometimes, i get the feeling i'm in a circus hall of mirrors at eBay. nothing is as it seems. thanks for the idea, maybe i'll try a double again tonight just out of curiousity.
