...a TOTAL waste??
My first month with the STORE has been pleasantly surprising! 11 sales with those WONDERFUL 3cent LISTING FEES have RALPHIE-&-I dancing in the STREET!
CHEAP,CHEAP,CHEAP!
But...the BIG question:
If the REGULAR STORE is GOOD, is the FEATURED STORE fantastic??
Does one get oooodles & gads more EXPOSURE??
Anybody have any LONG-TERM experience with paying $50/ month for the STORE -- actually, ya get $20/month credit for KEYWORDS thrown in, so is it a GOOD DEAL?? or a BONE-HEADED no brainer??

NO NOT WORTH IT! All you get for your $40 more is your name highlighted in lavender in a list of stores selling similar items (you don't even get priority placement in the list), you get Sales Manager or whatever ebays lister is, & the free Key Words (there are threads about how people think the whole key words thing is a sham on the ebay store seller board - I don't know because I never used them). Your store doesn't even appear above the others when a search yields less than 10 items and store items appear (the lowest priced store items appear first).
I didn't use "featured" long term - I tried it twice and saw no increase in sales whatsoever. I think you would be better off spending the $40 running auctions to drive people to your store...my two cents worth anyway.

Me-N-Ralphie truly appreciate yer thoughtful input!
ESPECIALLY about the feeBay Keywords -- I've been using the $50 credit & was concerned that my store sales were a result of that????????
That credit will soon run out & I have to decide whether or not to cough up real MOOLA for the program -- moola that would be better spent buying Ralphie a new winter coat!
I used the Key Words. The first two months were great. My sales picked up and I thought that was the reason. I was a little short on money and didn't didn't go for the 3rd month. Then sales dropped off. So, I tried again. This time every time I do a search with some of my words, I keep getting eBay ads. They are on there pushing their own services. Sellers ads get lost. And if buyers keep seeing eBay ads they will stop looking, not realizing that seller ads come up every now and then.
So, I'm not wasting my money any more.
Be kind. Everyone is fighting their own secret battles.

I tried a Featured Store for the month of September because it was half price (For an experiment, I was willing to pay $24.97 rather than $49.95).
September was my best month of the year - BUT I also had other factors involved.
New inventory
One buyer came in and bought $145 worth of Pokemon *smile*
50 Fixed Priced listings on the listing fee promotion near the end of August generated multiple store sales
It is hard for me to guage how much of the increase I can relate to being a Featured Store, and how much was these other factors.
The additional store traffic reports were interesting - includes Path Traffic information and bid/BIN analysis - the eBay Keywords program hasn't generated anything for me that I'm aware of - but the free $, I'll keep trying I guess.
I consider the experiment a success, but I still downgraded back to Basic level store on the last day of September.
