Hello everyone, I'm a new here and I just opened an ebay store. I'm still trying to find the best way to generate sales from the store. Would you please take a look at my store and give me some advices? Is there anything else I can do to improve it?

<a href="http://stores.ebay.com/woodenshipmodelhandicrafts">Link To My Store</a>

Thanks so much everyone!

It looks like the link does not show up right. I'm not sure how to put a link in my message... It should be:
http://stores.ebay.com/woodenshipmodelhandicrafts

Thanks again!

You have a really nice store and auctions. Looks like you are doing everything I know to do. Some of the others who know about marketing will be in before long.

Very nice! Really soothing colors. I even went and looked at one of the ships, and I don't usually do that. Great!

Suggstions :

Use the rest of your Custom pages - you've only got 2 right now and you can have up to 5

Good logo - I like it.

Good that you have the custom listing header turned on.

Good that you've got the promotion boxes turned on - keep working with those, add some to the left hand navigation bar, and do different ones for your categories.

14 items is kind of a small store - if you can expand your selection or related goods, you'll get more traffic.

I think you're going in the right direction.

OK - You got me - how do you turn on the promotions boxes at the top?

BTW - Love the shop.

Fenix

Go into manage store. In the right column you will see store promotion boxes.

hmmmmm - wonder if that is something that is exclusive to the US stores. My store is an Ebay.uk store and when I look under promotions in the builder the only options there are for cross promotion, nothing about promotion boxes.

Glad that I could be some helps to someone .

fenix03, Ebay.uk probably different from Ebay.us because promotion boxes should be under the same section as the cross promotion.

Is there anything else that I should do to improve the marketing of my products? I run out of marketing idea. Thanks everyone for your feedbacks! They are very helpful & encouraging.

Well.... one of your competitors used to use a series of buxom and scantily clad women to "present" the ships in their photos. I seem to remember they had some pretty decent sell thru rates when they were brought to our attention.

The only other thing I could think of would be to see if you could find so low priced items that would appeal to a sailing crowd that you could use as "loss leaders (without the actual loss that is) to bring your merch to the attention of a new crowd.

It's kind of the same school of thought that Target, Walmart, etc, tuse. They run ads for inexpensive DVDs and Videos games (which BTW - they actually are taking a loss on) and then place them at the back of the electronics department so that you have to walk by all the new players and game systems to get to them suckering you into those additional purchases.

Since you have such a select niche line of items I am betting it's something that you love so it shouldn't be hard to figure out a few lower priced items that would appeal to the type of people that you could turn into customers if they you could just bring your merch to their attention.

Good luck. Really is a nice store and beautiful presentation in your auction pages.
