Sometime ago there was a posting about some scam sellers were receiving and I would like to know if someone can lead me to a copy of that email.
In the scam email a person told the seller that the item was to be a surprise gift and further wanted to send the seller $700.00 to be sent to a recipient in another country, and that the seller would be paid $200 for his/her trouble. All this was to be done thru PayPal. Need to know how the seller is duped if he has the $$ in his account?

stopwhining.. Thanks for your reply. A friend received such an email and I couldn't tell him how he would be scammed, only that he would lose $$. Needed to prove it to him, but it's okay now, he is convinced.

Just so that he has a clear understanding... the seller would actually lose out on everything since the card/Paypal account that the funds are being sent from are stolen. Once the actual owner of the card/account realizes what has been done and reports it to PayPal, the entire transaction will be snatched from the sellers account.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?
