Hello All,
Some months ago I entered a thread here about an odd problem I was having. Seems that when I went to Ebay and only ebay and looked into some Ebay stores my computer would lock up and I would have to reboot.
I am on Cable with a Modem and a router.
This problem persisted and slowly got worse until I finally bought a new CPU. The new CPU fixed a lot of problems but NOT the Ebay issue, which was now migrating to other web sites. Always a reboot fixed all for a while.
Today in total desperation I did something simple (Most solutions are) I unplugged my modem from my router and plugged it direct into my CPU and rebooted my modem (unplugged and replugged)
The problem is GONE like it never was and all is rock solid after many months. So tomorrow I will buy a new router and associated wires.
So if your computer is ever sycotic may not be the CPU at all. (Lessons learned the hard way :0)

....come to think of it, I DID have that same problem with my wireless laptop not too long ago. I had to unistall my driver and install a new one. never did find out why or wherefore but it worked.
