Why can't they just stay focus on Ebay?

***eBay to Acquire Rent.com***
Date: 12/16/04 Time: 09:00:02 PM PST

We are pleased to announce that we have agreed to acquire privately-held Rent.com, a leading Internet listing website in the apartment and rental housing industry. The acquisition will enable eBay to expand into a new segment of the online real estate market while allowing Rent.com to continue to scale its business with the resources and expertise of eBay.
For more details, please see the press release at http://investor.ebay.com/releases.cfm?Year=2004

Regards,

It's just their Nature,,,,,Go BEYOND their WILDEST Dreams,,,,if it WORKS Great! If it don't, can it. If it ain't broke, Break it,,if it needs no fixing, mess with it,,if it frustrates the sellers,, keep it....If it actually HELPS, get rid of it. If it's an idea that does something,,,they dreamed up the idea. Never admit to ANYTHING! NEVER! pay back the Peasants with peanuts on an OFF day......NEVER directly Answer a question ,,,always give them OTHER options to their direct Question. the ONLY thing E bay wants to hear is Ching, ching ching,,,and they care LESS how it chings....Buy out everyone,,,one of them has to WORK sooner or later.....Fire everyone, hire NEW blood that HAS NO Idea what is going on,,,,,keep the pot stirred up......MADNESS, INSANITY!!!!!
and the Beat Goes On,,,,,,

They just might be onto something here. There's a great pool of potential sellers out there. You know the type, the eldest son or daughter who inherited most of the family heirlooms and hates them. They want to cash them out, but keep them in the attic instead so they don't incur the wrath of the rest of the family for getting rid of these treasures. By integrating rent.com into Ebay, they can come up with a new type auction where the bidder doesn't actually buy the item, they RENT it for a period of time. Now the custodian of the family heirlooms can make some cash and still keep the siblings happy. Great aunt Matilda's chastity belt. $9.99 opening bid, no reserve. 30 day rental with option to renew for an extra 25 bucks. Here's a chance to become a powerseller and never have to acquire new inventory. Those sly foxes at Ebay have done it again.

You are too funny! Have you been sipping your two buck chuck or still enjoying the one buck chuck that you score recently.
