Since we just opened an ebay store 2 months ago, we *have* been real happy with its sales compared to the store we had been using that was hard to drive e-traffic to .... but I now find out that, on GTC listings,
EBAY charges us the 10-ish$ per month plus 2 or 3 cents per listing every time they relaunch it for us,
AND the VENDIO charges us 6 cents per listing when ebay relaunches it ....
Is there a less expensive way to put a formerly-vendio-photo-sponsored listing, into the eBay Store GTC, where our fee would be less per listing each month it turns over?

I am thinking put the photos direct to ebay's pic hosting (what is that? max of 2 photos?) and then put into our store, then import to vendio to watch? ... would that be 6 cents cheaper?

Ebay's photo hosting is the same as it used to be, first photo free then 15 cents each photo unless you go for their photo hosting package. I can't remember the pricing but I do remember that just for the photo hosting that I would need (over 200 store items most with at least 2 photos, many with 5 or 6) I still came out cheaper here. You would need to go and check out ebays photo hosting charges in order to really make an informed choice.
I take it that you are happy with Vendio for the auction watching and post sale??? If so maybe you need to upgrade your base plan to one of the more expensive ones so that you don't pay for the photo hosting here.
All of this would involve you figuring out how much, each month, you are spending.
The idea of importing wouldn't work because then you are back to storing photos here.
Hope that this helps somewhat.
Kevin

I use the Vendio Variable rate plan so I am not charged per listing ( my items sell for less than $30 (WAY LESS LOL) and I pay a FVF to Vendio instead of a listing fee). I don't know how many listings/av $ amt of your listings but maybe Vendio has another plan that would work better?

Thank you Kevin and neglus, for taking the time to share your thoughts and knowledge ... I really do appreciate it.

I have not quite 300 items in my eBay Store, and I'm on Vendio's annual plan. ... (other than monthly charges) every time ebay relaunches a GTC item, ebay charges me about 2 or 3 cents for the listing, and vendio charges me 6 cents. I was thinking if I moved (re-did) all of the store items into ebay-sponsored guise (and just moved one photo to ebay's hosting, and deleted those photos in my vendio image hosting area), then set vendio to "track" those store listings (rather than 'import', kevin... I used the wrong word 'import' when I meant 'track') ... I am thinking then I will only get charged the 2 or 3 cents each renewal by ebay, and no charges from vendio.

Am I off-track? ... (I have a reallll hard time with math of any kind) doh. I just keep thinking I would much rather pay 3 cents a listing than 9 ... so I am trying to figure out if there's a workaround.

Oh rats, ccharned ... it hurts my head to think harder. But you say there IS a workaround (hear that neglus? might be great for all your postcards too?) ... maybe it's this idea stated up ^ there?. Anyone who could help clue me in please write to [email protected] ... it would sure save on the monthly bill when you have a few hundred or more listings in there. ... Thanks! and Happy Holiday week from snOwHIO ...

Vendio charges you to list?!?!?!?! Why do you use them again?

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?
