New eBay Pulse page:

http://pulse.ebay.com/

Its interesting that it lists the sellers with the most items listed, as well as the most watched items.

I see that "CDs" and "DVDs" come in well above "girls". Clearly that's an untapped market. However, "girls" does come in ahead of "rings" so you there is definitely a pattern emerging.

And the winner is... Totalcampus.com (with a .com user ID, you'll note)

397324 items found

Imagine the eBay bill for these guys, Even though they're all store items, that a nearly $8000 a month bill just in store insertion fees. From the looks of their feedback, they have a chunk of FVFs too.

94.1% feedback is pretty awful, but if I was selling enough to get 8100 feedbacks a month, I could live with it.

Check out that eBay store for PassAlong music. I wasn't aware that that was legal on eBay now. I love the look of their store!

My head hurts just thinking about all those listiings. Wowee.

Did you notice there is a pull down menu to check specific catagories. And then further down the page you can see the "most watched" items for the catagory. Very interesting stuff. Some beer cans are going for 5000.00+. Makes me sorry we just drink the stuff.

#10 has 29 times as many listings as I do! I can't imagine handling 100,000+ listings. Wow!

I think on the last real FLD we had, I listed ALMOST 6000 buy-it-now items. And that was a real mess to handle on my end. Although I'd like to be that busy all the time, I cannot imagine fifty times that many listings.

But with 300,000+ inventory items (totalcampus), this place probably has a staff of employees and a nicely organized warehouse.

Are these the guys who buy the used textbooks at the colleges after every quarter?

I thought eBay didn't allow DOT COM user names. I guess the rules don't apply if you list 397,000 items and have a whooping Feedback Rating of over 94%.

You could back in 98 when they registered and if you already had one when they changed the rule they didn't make you change it.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Fenix, that applies to me. I had a .com name since 1996.

And yes, they made me change it.
