the thread on the wisconsin quarters, it was mentioned the weird seller name of 'yellowing toenails' (yuck! let's not draw attention to it, eh?)

A weird, but ended up funny, name I came across last summer was a buyer of ours named, what i thought was 'grand mamary' .. i thought ewwww, why would someone draw attention to their big breasts like that not to mention they don't even know how to spell mammary .. what a floozy ... then i realized quite a while later that it was "grandma mary" (of course with no spaces in the ID name) ... grandmamary

I recently sold something to user name: boobearboutique. I thought, that's an odd name, boob ear boutique...what the heck do they collect or sell there...earrings and nipple rings or bras? Then it hit me, it's boo bear boutique. Then I thought, get your mind out of the gutter Lynne!

LOL, but it was probably boo bear boutique. We used to call our daughter boo bear when she was little. Have no idea why.

I'm not remembering any of the weird ones I've seen, but there are times I wonder what they were thinking. Unbelievable, some of them.

So, say I want to start a business. What name can I choose that'll repel the most potential customers. Hmmmmmm. That's it! Yellowing toenails! Just perfect!

It amazes me that some people choose ID's that are impossible to remember with *_( etc. in them. You would think that sellers especially would want to have an ID that buyers could remember. Now for passwords I understand, but not ID names.

Bloodymucusfart bought a golf club from me in July of 2004. Paid right away, and communicated just like a grownup. 100% positive feedback.

I have never forgotten the ID.

About 3 years ago, I had a bid on an item from a newly registered buyer with the i.d. "fortheshitsofit". I immediately smelled trouble with this person (no pun intended) and cancelled his bid and reported it to Ebay. They gave him 48 hours to change his ID or face suspension. He changed it to a more acceptable one. He hasn't been too active since. I checked a while ago, and he has a feedback total of 6 with no activity in the last year.

Came across this seller long ago....touchofart. Thinking how and why would anyone want to do that let alone have that as their UserID when it dawned on me. Oh yeah, (hitting forehead with palm) "Touch of art".

Years ago, for Mothers Day I gave my Mom some Italian porcelain flowers set in a porcelain oval bowl with porcelain foiliage and porcelain stems, very intricate and delicate. It has on one side in raised letters D. Bernali and on the other it says also in raised letters, all run together Workofart. My Mom laughed and laughed but she has them promently displayed in her living room with the Workofart side showing towards the outside for all to see. Mom has a good sense of humor.
