Hello. I hope someone can help with this.

I recently returned a heavily damaged, counterfeit item to a seller...and they refused to refund my money (over $200).

The seller opened a Square Trade case which I'm happily complying with as I want my money back. The question is...both the seller and I filled out incident statements. But what happens now? We don't have a mediator. Shouldn't one be part of the process? I don't think I can negotiate directly with the seller as they seem to be entirely unreasonable (see first paragraph).

Should I request one myself? Or wait for the seller or eBay to do something? It's been a week of dead air.

Hope you paid with a CC. That's about the only "real" protection you have.

Oh yeah, I've seen that "item not as described" right there at the top of the closed auctions now. Seems like it's just begging you to click on that link.

stopwhining - I returned it promptly by FedEx (out another $40).

I paid by Paypal. Anyway to get a refund?

I'll also look into the "Item Not As Described" option. I guess to get a mediator I and/or seller would have to spend even more money.

BTW, the seller is a Power Seller. Aren't they supposed to be a little more 'honorable'?
