I FINALLY got my auction launched in a happy manner. One thing I'm concerned with though is the "Vendio Checkout" button. It says, "For fastest processing of this order, please use Vendio Checkout!"
So, I clicked on it and it says:
Congratulations on winning eBay item #4541720806: Francine Rivers "Mark of the Lion" 3 Volume Set!
HUH? I thought this was supposed to be a bid system... Did I do something wrong? It's NOT a BIN item!
P.S. The picture came out GREAT! Thanks to all that helped with THAT!
Edited to add: That I did delet the button and description. However, it does, still, say, "Preferred Checkout" in that section but there are no longer any options there so now so it looks kinda stupid.

Nice job, you're doing ok for a "newbie".
Edited to add---Just notify the winning bidder when the auction is over. You'll get a notice from eBay with the winner's email address and zip code. I do that for all my auctions, I don't use Vendio or eBay for checkout services.

DOUBLE DANG! I keep trying to figure out the terminology... C/O? "Care of?" "Can't Open?" "Could Organize?" "Called Off?" "Cell Overload?"
Just kidding... I really can't figure that C/O one out. (Though I'm certain that I'll feel like a complete moron when it's explained to me.)
Not to worry.... Won't be the first time....
So are you saying, max, that you take on the task of "hand notifying" your buyers? Maybe I don't get it.... If I'm right, WHY in the world would you do that (which makes me think that I'm probably wrong).

You're not a moron! You're just going through the birthing pains as a new seller. Like others here, I don't use Vendio checkout. I send a cut-and-paste but personalized end of auction message to each buyer with info and instructions.

My suggestion to a new seller would be to write some generic messages to a customer and save them as files that you can copy and paste into an email and fill in the blanks. Then handle your first 25-50 transactions manually until you get comfortable doing this. Then start exploring the bells and whistles that Ebay and Vendio offer such as automated EOA's and C/O. The reason for this is that Ebay and Vendio both have experienced crashes and glitches in the past, and in the event of a major problem with either site, you will still be able to complete a transaction manually.
