Agitprop mentioned checkfree in another thread. I'd like to hear from sellers who have it as an option in their auctions. Do many buyers actually use it?

Unfortunately since I'm not in the U.S. I can't use CheckFree, though I am a stockholder in the parent company (stock ticker: CKFR). CheckFree don't really advertise their Auction Payments service as aggressively as they could, since you can't accept credit cards through it, just electronic checks and transfers from U.S. bank accounts.
Almost all the OECD countries have this system already (often for free) usually through their central bank clearing houses or equivalent. In the U.S. it's commonly called an ACH (automated clearing house) transaction and most banks and credit unions offer it in some form or other (often know as "bill payment". CheckFree partners with a wide range of U.S. banks and financial companies, and has around 80 million accounts in the U.S. - all whom can sign up for CheckFree Auction Payments.
