My husband, who is a “teckie”, is always trying out new programs to keep our computers running better – obviously with a e-commerce based business – we cannot afford computer problems, or program glitches, etc.
In some of his on line studies, and interaction with other “teckies” they recommended 1-CLICK MAINTENANCE, and they said it was like having Norton Utilities on Steroids! He downloaded the 30 Day FREE trial of the program, and after a few days of testing it on his computer, put it on my computer. (We have 3+) computers at home, where we run most of our computer based business. Anyway, I have been using 1-Click Maintenance for a week, and I can’t believe the difference in how much faster, and smoother my computer (A 6 months old computer) runs.
Certain programs I was having some issues with, I just run 1-Click Maintenance before starting to use it said, and after I close the program, and the different in how the program runs in astounding.
I run 1-Click Maintenance before I start any computer activity in the morning, then a couple times a day, and each time some problem is found. We also have NORTON UTILITIES, and when running Norton’s “One Click Check-Up,” which I used to use every time I started to work in the morning, and then when I closed my work at night, it on the average found 1 problem, 2 once in a while. If I have been working over an hour on line and run 1-Click, I will normally find 1 to 12 problems have occurred, and zap and 1-Click FIXES THEM!
Realize that “if” your income were based on your computer being up and running all the time, and if you had to call in a “computer repair man” every time you had an issue, you would quickly go out of business between the cost of a “computer repair man,” and the down time off your computer.

I've been using tune-up utilities for a long time now and so has my son and boyfriend. It's $40 (I think) after the trial and worth every penny of it!!! I brought this to the board's attention a long time ago, but I don't think anyone paid any attention. I love the program.

It has a disk cleaner, registry cleaner, memory optimizer, registry defrag, system optimizer (optimizes your Internet connection as well), tune up process manager, registry editor, uninstall manager, shredder and undelete. The shredder is great. It will even find items you've deleted that are still in the computer and shred them completely away.

Ah, ok, thanks Cheryl, I guess I don't need them. I do all that stuff with a few unix commands from my terminal, except for that defragging a registry thing, sounds painful. Gotta love OS X
