I am still working on my mother-in-law's estate. I really appreciate all the help from everyone. We took the advice of most of the posters on here and are selling the furniture locally and are having good luck. I have a few more things I need help with so hope ya'll won't get tired of me. I know the yellow/orange piece is vernonware but just wondering if anyone knows how it does. Here goes (again, hope I can get the pics listed). Thanks in advance.

They're all 1950's pieces. You can check the pyrex and homespun prices on ebay. The bowl is floragold, book price is cheap, ebay will be less.

If you tell them Benjamin Franklin said it first, they'll believe you

The Vernon Homespun covered sugar should do well on Ebay. It's one of the more difficult of the plaids to find. I would wait until after school starts to list it.

Whoops Sparkz...Guess I should take another picture of that piece..it does look like a sugar dish but is actually a casserole dish..it looks small in the picture. Thanks for you help!

I started to ask, but just assumed it was a sugar bowl. A covered casserole in any pattern by Vernon Kilns will do very well. That one should fetch a good price. I have a casserole in the Brown Eyed Susan pattern, but the cover strayed off over the years. If I can ever find one I'll break a few speed records getting it listed.

My experience with even the "newer" pottery lines is that the serving pieces generally can be sold (for a little or a lot). It's the basic pieces that are tougher, sometimes. And those cups and saucers - duhhhh - people drink out of larger cups or mugs today. And just try selling saucers by themselves. No dice, usually. (I'm sure there ae exceptions.)

Thanks again for the help. I think I will wait a while to list them (especially the vernonware piece). I would be happy to get the price the one shown brought but maybe when we have more lookers it will bring a little more. I have 4 of the floragold bowls...2 large and 2 medium...did they reproduce these?
