Here is mine !!!

Note: Dear Class Action Short-Form Fund Claimant:

Your payment of $14.59 as a short-form fund claimant in the In Re PayPal Litigation class action lawsuit has been credited to your PayPal account. No further action is required for you to claim these funds.

Ditto - Just transfered my $14.59 to my checking account.

I think the reason I was notified of this lawsuit a year or two ago was due to my disputing a charge on my Discover Card for an earlier PayPal purchase. I had purchased some jewelry from a Canadian seller who said up front in her description that it sometimes takes longer than 30 days for her US buyers to receive their purchases. Since she had excellent feedback, I waited about 45 days or so and when it hadn't arrived, I disputed it with my Discover Card because it was after PayPal's 30-day limit. It wasn't even a week later that I received the jewelry and sure enough, she had mailed it the day after I paid for it. Anyway, I immediately repaid her with PayPal.

About a month later, I was trying to pay for an auction with PayPal but found that my account was locked. I called PayPal who said that it was because I had disputed a charge on my credit card. I explained why I did so but only when I told them that I had repaid her with PayPal did they agree to unlock my account. However this was late on a Friday night and PayPal said I would have to wait until Monday before I could use my account because the people who unlocked accounts didn't work weekends. I kid you not.

I have since did this again on an item the seller grossly mis-represented. The seller said he would buy it back and after I shipped it back using return receipt, unbelievably PayPal refused to credit me. So I called them and asked if I disputed this on my Discover Card, are they going to lock my account? The lady who I talked to said "that's a possibility". Well, I disputed it anyway, got my credit and PayPal didn't lock my account. This was late last year.

I keep reading on this board about seller problems with PayPal. As mostly a buyer, know that you're not the only ones who have problems with them. I NEVER, EVER, EVER pay for anything over $10 without using a credit card.

Yes, each person was set aside 50 dollars.

$35.41 to the lawyers and the rest to the real victims of the PayPal wrath.

Actually, I believe when we filled out the form, I think it stated up to $50.

With this windfall, you want to diversify your portfolio. 1/3 stocks, 1/3 bonds, and 1/3 lottery tickets.

stopwhining--I think Discover needs other things to do because I have a Discover card and they keep calling me trying to sell me additional services for my card and I have repeatedly told them no but they keep calling. So if maybe they have other things to work on like disputed charges so they would quit trying to sell their cardholders services. None of my other credit cards call for service sales, just Discover.

Anybody know how much the people who filled out the long-form will get from the settlement?

I got $8. Don't know what form I filled out. That's $8 more than I got for filling out numerous forms over the years in the Boston Chicken bankruptcy suit. Stinkin lawyers.
