Does anyone have an opinion on which is better and easier to use for customers? I use Ebay's at this time, but would love to know about how well Vendio's checkout works.

As a seller - I offer both. Many won't do the Vendio checkout even now that they don't have to fill it out - everything is transferred automatically from ebay.
I have a few that used Vendio say they really liked it and it's quick.

I try not to buy from anyone that has a checkout other than eBay. Most of the time they are slow and you have to fill out everything that would be automatic with eBay checkout.

I never use C/O, I just use the eBay invoice, fill in the blanks & send it. Never have a problem. Everything spelled out very plainly.

i'm with toolhound on this one. third-party checkouts are a PITA. last time i tried to use one, there was even a security warning for me from my Windows settings that the site was not secure and, sure enough, the lock symbol wasn't active on the bottom right corner of the page. i closed it out and sent them a money order but...i won't be back. tried VD checkout a few times in the past, too - why use VD checkout/why reinvent the wheel?

I agree with you Jack. I like the personal approach and email each buyer and congratulate them and ask for the address and method of payment.

If you have not used Vendio lately - well now there is nothing to fill out - just check how you want to pay and the rest is done for you. Everything is linked to ebay & paypal and that's where the information comes from.
I feel like Vendio helps me keep my fees lower so I can in turn offer lower prices to my bidders. I really make it much easier for me but I will still do it "The ebay way" if my bidder wants.
I would do everything with ebay if I could figure out a way to do it with the same cost and professional look of listings that I feel I get with Vendio.

I don't use Vendio but I do use the Check-out from my service. I have it on automatic reroute from the eBay Pay button to my checkout. Makes things much easier if an item is returned since their features allow me to search by customer names plus I get good upsell results from the similar items that are shown on the side of the checkout form.
Tool - since you don't use them you may not be aware of this but most of the check outs now automatically import the address information from ebay.

No, I'm saying -- I'm merely -- I'm saying what I'm saying. I don't know why I'm always having people say, are you trying to say -- you know what you can do if you want to know what I'm saying is listen to what I'm saying. What I'm saying is what I said ...
