I believe this is a Mid Century Japanese Studio Vase but I can't be sure. Can anyone read what it is signed?? It has a Native American look which I think is great. Thanks

The mark is not upside down. I just can't make heads or tails out of it. It is probably an artist's name. Great vase, though. Very unusual. I would never have guessed Japanese. I see Greek influences as well.

Kansii or Kansi stands for Hans character which means chinese characters.
The artist signed in chinese characters which can be translated to mean 'bright mountain'.
Japanese writing and culture is much influenced by the Chinese/
I doubt if it means much difference to Ebay bidder who this artist is,but some may collect this Japanese style of pottery.

Thanks Stop - At least I know it's not a well known artist or something of great value.
