I am not sure if this is common knowledge. but i have only just found out that paypal users in australia can not use an amex credit card on their paypal account. i used to have one on my account but forgot to update the exp date. then found out i could no longer use it anyway.
PAYPAL WILL NOT LET YOU USE AN AMERICAN EXPRESS CREDIT CARD ON YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT. WHEN I ASKED WHY THEY SAID THAT AMERICAN EXPRESS WILL NOT ALLOW PAYPAL TO USE OR ACCEPT OR TRANSACT THEIR CARDS IN ANY FORM OF TRANSACTION IN AUSTRALIA.

as far as I know,USA Paypal would not accept corporate AMEX card ,the reason why is that some employees who left the company will keep their card and continue to use it ,when the bills comes ,neither the employer nor the departed employee would pay .
If Paypal said you cant use it in Australia because AMEX said so,then there is nothing you can do,you can go ask AMEX why??

I do not know if it is still the same but it use to be that AMEX charged half a percent more than other credit cards to take them. I worked for a small oil company years ago and the owner would not take AMEX in any of the gas stations because of the half percent. That would be a good reason for PayPal not to want AMEX.

amex has a promotion going on now for cybermerchants,1% discount rate.
But Paypal and Ebay sellers need not apply,it is for websites which has shopping carts.
